We’re in the midst of a communication revolution. At our fingertips are the tools to connect, share thoughts or sell products to a vast swath of the world’s population. Advances in broadband technology and the ever-widening reach of mobile devices allow us to instantly reach at least one in four people across the globe. This means any one of us can be heard and seen by enough people to potentially alter thought processes and influence behavioural patterns. Any one of us could change the world. That’s powerful stuff.
In the wake of all this, marketers and advertisers are scrambling to catch up. Everyone’s watching trends, studying patterns and analyzing metrics in order to catch a ride on the gravy train.
